Berjoan's Best Beaches

In celebration of World Oceans Day, we've pulled together a list of our top 5 British beaches. While most of us will be staying fairly close to home this summer we hope you'll explore some of the beautiful bays that are practically on our doorstep..

Knoll Beach, Dorset

Part of the wildlife-vibrant Studland nature reserve, this untouched and unspoilt beach is a perfect spot for discovering some beautiful bird life. You might spot some interesting lizards not seen elsewhere here too!

The calm breeze and warm energy of Holkham beach brings a welcome antidote to our busy lives. The grassy yet soft dunes are a perfect spot for an evening glass of wine shared together overlooking the sea between our shoes and neighbours in mainland Europe.

Bamburgh, Northumberland

Northumberland is a cherished placed for our founder Charlotte, who was born there, and whose earliest family holidays were spent on the beautiful Northumberland coastline. A vast sandy beach with a backdrop of awe-inspiring Bamburgh castle, a perfect stop for journeys en route to cross the border into Scotland, and perfect for our four-legged friends too. Berjoan HQ resident whippet Cloud loves it here!

Findhorn, Scotland

Situated on the Scottish coast north east of Inverness, this wild pebble beach is a true hidden treasure. Looking out over the Moray firth, on a clear day you can see right up the north eastern coastline that will eventually reach the far reaches opposing the Shetland islands. A treasured part of the British Isles close to our founder's Scottish heritage. Try the nearby Crown & Anchor Inn nearby for an array of freshly caught local seafood.

Durdle Door, Jurassic Coast

The rugged Dorset coast never ceases to inspire wonder and a true insight into the right geological history of the Jurassic coastline that spans the south western shores of the British Isles.
